DHC systems: accelerating deployment through standards
With the establishment of the ISO/TC 341 - Heat Supply Network, it has become apparent the need to safeguard and enhance European standards in the field of District Heating and Cooling. At the request of the Danish Standards, the scope of CEN/TC 107 was recently adjusted to include DHC systems facilitating cooperation with the ISO/TC. Doing so will contribute to harmonized processes and procedures across the EU while strengthening the European position at a global level.
Standardisation can act as a decision-making tool, providing principles and guidance to plan new systems and refurbish existing ones. By ensuring that best practices are applied to energy systems, it can contribute to cost-effective implementation and transition to sustainable heating and cooling.
The joint Euroheat & Power – Danish Standards webinar will examine the contribution of EN standards to the deployment of sustainable DHC systems. The panel of experts will analyse their role in providing quality assurance to secure the investment needed to realise the potential of the sector and contribution to REPowerEU.
