Detoxifying heat: opportunities for district heating decarbonisation in Prague
This webinar series leads up to the upcoming Crash Course for Cities on District Heating in Prague, June 2025. Together, cities from across Europe will explore strategies to "detoxify" urban heating systems, opting for a healthier and more secure future for all.
Local authorities play a key role in decarbonising heating and cooling! Euroheat & Power is committed to supporting their efforts, partnering with the Covenant of Mayors – Europe and other city networks to raise awareness about heat decarbonisation in cities. Together, we are offering knowledge-sharing activities on sustainable district heating and cooling to empower cities in their journey.
Did you know that Prague is leading the way with two landmark projects? The city is:
- Installing large-scale industrial heat pumps at its wastewater treatment plant to harness energy efficiently.
- Launching a new initiative to use geothermal energy from the planned metro line I.D. to sustainably heat and cool the new surface development.
Join our webinar to explore Prague’s innovative approach to the district heating decarbonisation, where you can find inspiration, discuss success factors and obstacles, and share your insights with an opportunity to feature your city in future webinars.
